I guess it won’t be long before we’re flying around in our space cars. I wouldn’t mind if we had those capsules that dress us, though. It feels like the world has gone from moving fast to moving at mach speed, but in many ways, it’s going backwards—at least in the US. I’m always cautious when using ChatGPT for summaries or references, double-checking everything, but a lot of people won’t do that, and that’s the scary part.
I think technologies have be n changing in an increasing nonlinear manner and we just jump without thinking. I remember Future Shock decades ago was the first to bring this awareness forward.
The gloomiest outlook is that it is nearly impossible to name a single technology which has such significant downsides that we have put it aside. Some for the use of biochemical agents in warfare but not completely. Hunan cloning but I believe there is done if that happening somewhere under covers
I have so many mixed feelings about technology. On the one hand, I love how far we’ve come. On the other hand we seem to be imploding in some ways at least here in the US with the dismantling of the government that seems to be happening. Is the world just going to slowly erode while ironically progressing at mach speed???
It is extremely noisy out there and some things are just too silly.
At first I struggled a bit on here and on Medium. I was working more hours and it takes time to write an article but eventually you get inspired through conversations and comments and it eventually becomes a routine.
I was on Medium, maybe 10 years ago. I was just starting to like it but got completely distracted. Went back a couple years ago and didn’t like it. A bit late to Substack but so far so good.

I actually laughed at your last line but it was the laugh of the damned. Not sure I know. The USA is a very scary place to foreigners.
Oh wow, there’s a lot to unpack here, hahaha
Kudos to you, first of all, for putting these together.
It takes time to grab links and align them - Thank you!
First off, the G1 robot. $16,000 for a robot that might kick the living shit out of me? Hard pass.
I don’t care how cute it looks dancing, lol.
AI-generated true crime? What the!!!
I saw those motivational speeches from Trump and Elon. People are getting fooled by this stuff.
Crushmate. 90% of their traffic is from Meta? That’s not just disturbing. It’s a dumpster fire.
And don’t even get me started on anthropomorphizing exoplanets.
“Poor world hangs on for dear life”? Come on.
Can we not just let space be space without turning it into a Disney movie?
You’ve outdone yourself with this one, David.
It’s hilarious, horrifying, and “why is this even a thing?
Thanks for the feedback. My attitude for many items is “ why is this even a thing?”
I’m getting into it now. My reading and research is focused, and I have weeks of stuff now lined up.
BTW, over on LinkedIn some people were taking in with the dancing G1. Not sure how they do it for $16,000 so I’m highly suspicious.
Anything on LI is highly suspicious LOL

Well……….I am so happy you are here David :)
