The 'Lil Donnie' section should be required reading in political science courses. Your translations achieve the impossible, ie, making Trump speak both more coherently and more deranged simultaneously. That Christmas doll quote is somehow even more nihilistic when stripped of its word salad dressing, like finding a rotten core inside an already spoiled fruit.
Have you noticed his non-sequiturs are becoming a new political rhetorical style? I recently heard a city council member argue that 'maybe the potholes will fill themselves if we think about infrastructure differently, the way a child might want two dolls instead of thirty.' We're all speaking Trumpish now ....
I think Trump exposes just how many people don’t think for themselves and just live a life of mimicry. Conformity demonstrates our collective lack of intelligence and rebuttal.
I've come to think the one word that best sums up our culture now is "decadent". (Characterized by or reflecting a state of moral or cultural decline. Luxuriously self-indulgent.)
I totally agree. Here us one more bit for this conclusion. Just read an article about these huge new TikTok channels with millions of viewers what the writer called wealth porn: young rich people documenting their extravagant purchases, expensive travel, and meaningless relationships with absolutely no sense of irony or social conscience. Watched by people who don’t have much.
A liquid funnel! Well, I could certainly be useful but it looks almost as bulky to store as a regular funnel!!! 😂
And I keep banging this drum that you have to check the findings with these outputs. There can be so many errors. It really concerns me about how this is going to be used in the future when everyone is using it.
I’m amazed at how many truly bizarre new products there are. I guess it is another crazy fact demonstrating how widely divergent our species is.
Like you, I’m concerned which is why I do this. On my other newsletter I am going to gave a hard hitting series on the consulting industry and AI hype
I use AI but with caution and prudence, like I have for every new technology. BTW I can get you enrolled with Manus with some free credits if you want (can do about 4 detailed investigations ). Let me know. Have a great weekend
I’m away until Wednesday so I will send you a Manus link on Thursday.
I use Perplexity to search for weird new products. I read a couple of high tech journals that publicize new companies getting VC funding. That’s where the best one in my opinion the gum shooting robot cane from
Well, I am so glad you are using perplexity for such high intellectual use! lol
Take your time, but I am looking forward to taking a deep dive and navigating the extensive tapestry Manus will have to offer! see what I did there… lol
I guessed it right!! Right?

It’s like being a bystander to a slow-motion trainwreck.
